Question Good Video Capture and Out Card?

What's a really good video card with capture and video out? I'm looking for a card that will capture video in pretty good resolutions and maybe have digital video out. I've only noticed regular yellow video out on cards that I've seen. Also how much is this type of card?

Is there any card cheaper? Maybe just a dedicated tuner/capture card? I'm not looking for any type of gaming card. Mostly for capturing movies and tv.

check out the video capture cards on newegg. They range from 50-80. The all have video in, then the video out goes through your normal video card.

Do you need a seprate video card with that? That's just a stand a long tuner/capture card right? If you do need a regular video card, then is there a decent one for a good price? Don't need Radeon 9700 or anything extreme. Don't play games, so don't need that processing power.

This isn't the same thing as the All-In-Wonder right? Also if I do need a seperate video card, I heard that the Radeon 8500LE is a really good card to get. They said it was the best bargin for your money. Dual monitor and video out. Under $100 and pretty overclockable.

not sure man. I haven't really spent that much time checking it out. Out of all of the cards on newegg, it has the best rating and the best reviews. After all, you can compress the videos in to everything except Mpeg4.

Cool, thanks for the info. Does it need a seperate video card? I'm assuming it's just a tuner/capture card.

Yep, but the good thing is that it works with say your GF4 or ATI. That's what's nice. I had one about 7 years ago that only worked with certain vid cards, and it only worked in 256 colors even though the vid card could do 32bit @ 1280*1024

One more question. Does anyone know which video card has the BEST video out resolution? I wanted to buy a big screen tv and maybe use that as my monitor.

From my other post, people were telling me to get the Albatron Ti4200 128MB DDR cards. That should work then.
