Database Problems (Access)
- I need to be able to make a query somehow that will allow me to have a GUI of some sort (other than SQL and the query "design view" itself) to allow me to set two dates to check all date fields that I have. It would be great if I could set it in a Form section. If you need more of what I need just ask and I will give more details. I don't have them, but I'll try and explain deeper if needed. This one shows you all of the tables I have. ![]() This one shows you all of the forms I have. ![]() This is the basic structure of ALL the tables. ![]() This is the basic structure of ALL the sub forums. ![]() This is the actual structure of the forum that will be used as data entry. ![]() Now again what I want is when data is entered I have it sitting in them tables that are above. When there in there I need a query to find the data between certain dates, so that it's within a month period. Thats when my dad's monthly reports are due, but he wants to keep all data so that he has records. If you can't help me by just telling me or explaining it then I uploaded the .mdb file. [CLICK HERE] to obtain it. |

Theres no reason to. I am going to have a master table that has all data in there so when anything gets entered it will also go to the master table so that I can search it. I'm just havening a problem with making that table and the queries in GUI format.

Geeze, it's been at least 5+ years since I've fooled with access, but I used to be pretty good at it. I'll take a look at your DB and let you know if I figure something out.
I need to reinstall office on my PC first (just did a clean XP install) |

Didn't forget about you... I was installing office on my PC Saturday then got side-tracked.
Thankfully my replacement video card came for my notebook so now I'm back up and running on my main machine (yes I use a notebook as my main pc) |

Oh boy... so long since I've done any vbscript...
Without spending hours on end trying to re-teach myself, I think it basically would boil down to having two date fields, then a button to run the query and return the results in a window. I know, sounds simple in theory but coding it is another story. It's just been too long since I have touched a MS product requring coding (and with good reason). |
