hi guys
i know this doesn't belong in here, but i dont have the time to find out where i put it...also, i need it to be somewhere lots of people are.....well, i dled thse two games off of kazaa......
they were apperently these flash games...me and my gf wanted to play them....well, when i brought them to my desktop, they looked like those blue little squares and white stripe around it...kinda like a screen..it looked fishy....well, stupidly i thitnk they were both trojans......(yes, even though they both looked bad, i still clicked em both, even after i noticed what happened with the first one.......well, a black screen opened up for a mila second then closed....no trace of it......i think that is a trojan...that is all that happened......oh, and it came with 2 files, bliss (window media file) and bliss (bitmap) oh, and maybe something else......
the other one did the same thing....expect the window was open a little bit bigger..........can anyone give me a virus scan that is actuallly useful and will locate these and take care of them?
what can i do?

The very first thing I would do is to do a search on any files created and modified today, post the results in here

go to task manager and see if there's anything odd in there. end task it and then search for that name and delete

also, i just downloaded Hitman II silent assasin.....
and that same icon cam e up (this is 238mb........) and that black window came up and then went away....why wont it play? or is that a virus too...maybe................

Try restarting your computer. Perhaps they're all just crashing because you've run something and windows is unstable?

Either that or windows XP has protection against pirated software.

no xp doesnt have any antipiracy features. yeah they most likely were trojans, run a virus scan, if u dont have software for it there are many free online ones. And NEVER download games of Kazaa its THE worst place. pm me if u have questions about that.

i dl from kazza all the time. yes i have found some viruses but just get a anti virus. i doubt they were trojans prob just a bunk file. i get them all the time. same thing thats happening 2 him.

XPs only piracy features are with MS programs. when ya go to run the appz you get the pirated software screen. If ya have a pirated copy of XP then you will get this especially if ya try to install SP1 but there is a crak for that, it was out lees than a week after the SP1 was released. If in doubt dont install SP1 you can get most of what it has through other means. Just deselect it on the update. Also ya should be tarred and feathered for usin KAZA. I have seen this crap more machines than anything else out there. there are to many p2p appz to be usin that crap. Grokster is decent but ya have to watch it on the install or you will spend more time closing pop ups than doing anything else. Best One I have seen is limewire but not to many people using it so you cant get as much but it is much safer and absolutly no pops.
