Looks alright, could go cheaper on keyboard, and ram, and the 8800's probably not necessary for a 17" monitor. Might want to check out going for a 8600

Having a rig like that, and going with a 17' monitor? That's crazy? 19' at least!

Yep, and after reading the new thread on the 8600's, I'd hold off and see if the 8800's go down in price and go for one of those.

Well, you can hold off as much as you like, but the only price drop that will happen is in May, when AMD launched their line up.

again this isnt going to be built/purchased for a long time so theres always room for additions/substitutions. for the psu, i think theres one included with the case, so if someone could check that out... and i dont know what i was thinking w/ the 17" last night, but you guys are right. i was wondering if theres a fair sized monitor with av jacks somewhere, a link would be greatly appreciated

I'd definitely wait till end of May then, when we have a good idea on videocards.

Can't comment on your AV jack monitor unfortunately. Don't have experience with them.
