Best Compact/SuperZoom camera for $500-$600?

After a brief research, I finally find out DSLR is not for beginners like me. I am now looking for the best compact/SuperZoom camera for under $500-$600. I welcome any suggestion. Thanks.

I'm telling you... DSLR can easily be for beginners. You won't learn using a Point-and-Shoot. Get the Nikon D40 or D3000 and have fun. If you are dead set on getting a Point-and-Shoot, go to Target/Wal-mart/Best Buy and mess around with some of them. Pick the one you like best.

dSLR is the d*mn way to go. You'll be blown by the quality and if you want to have your P/S, jsut leave it at Auto settings. With what you'd play Crysis: 9600GS or GTX 280? Your call, especially when there isn't a price difference.

BUUT, if you really want point and shoot, I'd recommend this: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-.../dp/B001CCLBSA

This is a win camera.
