Problem - Ram or SSD?

Hi there, as stated in the title i'am trying to determine which of the two is causing a reoccuring problem.

I have ran memtest86 and hdtune several times with no errors flagging up, yet again and again i'am getting data corruption.

Basically what is happening is files are disappearing. If this occured when i had vista installed i was met with the problem of it not booting. Windows 7 which is currently installled, is still running except i cannot open CCC, and my Ageia files have disappeared.

I have reinstalled vista around 5 times in the last 2 months, and it runs fine for roughly a week and a half then out of nowhere it wont boot. I purchased windows 7 just over a week ago and it was running fine, but again i'am met with the same problem.

Is there any other methods i can use to determine where the problem lies?

Thanks

If the RAM tested fine, I'd put my money on the SSD even if it came out alright with HDTune.

I'd personally try wiping the SSD, flashing new firmware, do a clean OS install, and then triming/wipering it as soon as the OS is installed just to make your SSD is fully optimized. Make sure you turn off de-frag on the SSD, Windows 7 should do that automatically though. Turn off indexing as well, caching and page files on your SSD, etc.

DRAM is volatile by nature, but it's usually pretty obvious if it's going wonky. It takes information it is given and stores it, then hands it back out when needed. It has a simple life.

The SSD has to do far more in depth sorting and checking and wiping, hence why I figure if there is some complex and not easily identifiable form of corruption going on, it's prob the SSD.

I have no experience with the Corsairs though.. So beyond what I suggested, make sure you scan for a virus... then go to Corsair tech support :P

Make sure your HT speed and NB speeds are not out of control and causing corruption because they are unstable. When too fast, these two speeds will corrupt your data.

Also isn't 1.525V a lot for 3.7GHz?

Thanks for the quick reply RealityRush. I have wiped/trimmed the ssd previously, firmware isnt an option with my corsair ssd as they say it is not required unlike the ocz models etc. I previoulsy had 2 x 30gb ocz solid series and went through the motions ie turned off hibernation, system restore, pagefile and the other tweaks available on their forums, but corsair said nothing needed to be altered. In other words, it works as is (hmmmm debateable).

Anyhow i think your right in saying its the ssd. The problem noticeably appeared when i purchased this ssd, i just didnt want to judge it too quickly as i know ram can sometimes cause this problem also, although very unlikely.

Ht is running at 2000mhz and Nb is at 2200mhz, so nothing strenuous.

1.525v is quite high compared to the general voltage setting used by other members to attain this speed, but it was required to stablize the chip in my case. Temps are not a problem as im idling between 23/26c and loading in the mid 30s.
