Unhappy Creative Labs EAX and slow gaming...update

above is a link to my earlier post.....
i got the SB Audigy2 ZS and my games dont run one bit better when i use EAX sound in my games options is there something i am missing? i dunno, tia for any help

EAX just enables *better* sound, not necissarily faster, It allows the game to utilize the sound cards built in audio effects processing "for a more realistic gaming experience"

Yes, you won't notice any difference in speed. The sound card DSP will free some CPU cycles, but not enough to warrent a speed increase.

ya ... its obvious that you guys are correct in this matter. the guys in my previous post must work for Creative...lol, j/k , except for D_unruled...he was correct. oh well the card does have great sound, it will be a nice addition to my next build...thanx again guys...later
