Secret ATI Mobility Drivers!

I stumbled across this topic at the DriverHeaven forums about a secret webpage that shows ATI has the recent offical Catalyst drivers for their Radeon Line up, alone with vastly improved Rage M/M1 drivers from October 29, 2003. ATI has now taken down the page, but you still get to it via Google Cache. The ATI employes that are members of the DriverHeaven forum let information slip about full support for the whole Mobility Line with the latest drivers and CCC every month in 2005. This is great news to every laptop owner that has an ATI based chip in their system. You will no longer be tied to your manufactors drivers that are never updated, or need to mod the offical Catalysts. Sadly the files aren't downloadable anymore, ATI removed the files and the whole web page.

Here was the link, it was to be seen by OEM Partners only:
http://www.ati.com/products/embedded/sw.html

Here is the link provided by Googles Web Cache:
http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a

Here is a link to the DriverHeaven.net forum topic:
http://www.driverheaven.net/showthre...7&page=1&pp=15

Enjoy!

because if youre an owner of a laptop with ATi graphics, you'll find out that the OEMs dont update the drivers at all. ATi doesnt deal with laptop drivers

Yeah, before then, we could only use Omega drivers or DHmod modded drivers.

WTF? What's wrong with ATI?

I wanted to DL it...

PM me if you got it

Only a few people got their hands on theses drivers, but ATI is going after them for passing them around. Right now this information is still under an licenses agreement with OEM parnters and wasn't ment to be seen by the public. Even if ATI wanted to give out drivers right now for their mobility line, they can't because of their license agreement with OEM partners. Anyone with an ATI GPU in their laptop will only have to suffer a little longer. Sometime in 2005 ATI will give full Driver, and CCC support monthly for their mobility line! Its about time ATI!

Just for the record I do not have a copy of any of those drivers that were leaked, please don't PM me asking for them.
