Ggabyte Assassin 2 / G.Skill Memory overclocking issue

Hey Guys, just a quick question I’m hoping someone would be able to help me with about Memory. I have a gigabyte Assassin 2 Motherboard and 4 sticks of G.Skill TridentX 8GB (F3-2400C10D-16GTX) and I cannot get the memory to run at 2400MHz or anything over 1333MHz for the matter even using the XMP settings. All the computer does is turn on for about 10 seconds and then restart and keeps doing that. The cup has not yet been overclocked but I hope to one day when I finally get this memory issue sorted out. I know there is not a great deal of performance increase and fixing this but my memory and motherboard are both rated at 2400MHz so I would like to run at that speed if not close to it.

Gigabyte Assassin 2
F11 Bios (latest)

Sound advise

however try it with only 2 sticks (I know I know - but a working rig with 8GB as much better than a door stop with 16 gb)

I just read the gigabyte memory comparability list and the only sticks that support 2400MHz are 2 or 4GBs ohwells. I spouse that's what you get for not doing enough research before purchasing

Bios updats normaly open up the board to faster memory

regardless of support showing 2400 mhz would only be acheived by overclocking, so set the memory manualy at 1600 or 1800 2 sticks and see what you get
