Are Win7 drivers still the same for Maxwell?

So I decided to try and push my WC loop as hard as I can and was wondering if the old 327.70 drivers are still the best for Folding in win7 with the GTX980s? I would like to squeeze what PPD I can out of these 3 cards. Since I can't really afford to upgrade to the new pascal cards. Still don't know why I don't see 100% or 99% usage like back when I had my HD3870 folding. Usage fluctuates between 82% and 95% ever second in afterburner, at best. Also I don't have my 3 970s anymore, sold one and gave my bother the reference ones I had.

Today I've been benching and tweaking a bit and have my 2 ASUS Strix cards at 1513MHz with stock Ram settings and my EVGA Classified at 1518MHz Hoping this will be a good stable OC but I haven't gone a full day yet. Temps are stable at 61C on one card and 55C on the other two.

Any who, new drivers still... meh?

I'm still running 372.70 on all my rigs. I've also noticed lower GPU utilization but it varies from work unit to work unit so my theory is it's work unit based that's causing the variation.

I picked up a 1080 FTW and it ran fine on 372.70 in the same rig as a 960. They're running part time in my son's rig, when he's not gaming.

Per discussions on the EVGA folding forums, the current "go-to" driver version seems to be 373.06 unless your have a card that is newer than the release of that driver version, like the 1080ti, and you HAVE to go with something more recent.

The "current" drivers still support cards that are a LOT older than the Maxwell generation.

I've ran a 950 in the same rig as a pair of 1070s for a while, worked fine, but I can't remember the specific driver version there - 372 or 375 something - but I've been moving to the Gigabyte "ITX" 1070 for the 3'd card on my rigs for a while now.
