GPU folding is the most efficient. The newest GPUs are able to crunch a lot of data and produce a great PPD. I've had to stop folding for a while to save some money. With the new folding client you just set it up, get a F@H passkey to get bonus points for early returns and let it run. It's pretty easy.

As for EOC4 if it's a 939 system it will use DDR1 and since F@H on the GPU doesn't really need a great CPU or RAM you could plug in a newer card and it would do well. Nvidia AFAIK is still the best PPD. Haven't seen much info on the AMD cards lately.

I was running 3 GTX 980s and would get about 900k PPD if I never used the system for anything else.
