Hey, not exactly new here but I've been away for a couple years, so thought I'd post here seeing as it's been so long. Doubt anyone will remember me anyways lol. Got a new setup which I built a couple of days ago and can't wait to get started on seeing what I can get out of my rig.

Setup is:
CPU: Amd fx8320e currently at 3.6ghz
Mobo: asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
Psu: corsair hx1000i
Gpu: sapphire rx470 nitro+ 8gb
Ram: Kingston hyperx savage
Ssd: Samsung 740 evo 120gb
Hdd: toshiba 3tb
Cooler: corsair h100i v2
Case: cooler master cosmos se.
Os: windows 10

What do you guys think of the setup?

Hope you are all well and have had a great xmas

I remember you.
You should be able to get 4.5-4.6 out of that rig without that much problem. GL

Hopefully for good reasons, I really liked this forum very much, so many great people, I remember you and shrimp and a few others.

What's the max on these cpus I had 5ghz on my 8350 was hoping for around the same, or am I gonna be pushing my luck with that setup, I also have a fx4300 black edition, what's your opinion on which cpu is better for gaming?

Cooling will control your limit. All 8 core FX's overclock the same roughly. Doesn't matter what model. My 8320 does 5.5.

For gaming, the newer processors are usually better and quad or more for sure. I'd stick with that 8320e. Save some power and heat because it's only a 95w chip, and still OC to 4.5-4.8 24/7.
