K-type thermocouple

Are all aftermarket temperature sensors for computers K-type? I'm getting a system set up with a Koolance EXC-800 chiller. An optional K-type thermocouple may be used for external sensing. I have not been able to determine what sensor to use, as nobody that sells the temp sensors for computers seems to state what type they are. The plan is to set this up so if the video cards it is cooling get too warm, the computer will shut down. The EXC-800 can be set so if temperature gets out of a specified range, it will close or open a relay contact on the chiller. I believe I can simply wire that into the power switch for that to work for computer shutdown. Another purpose for this thermocouple would be to get better control of the water temperature. If it is measuring the temperature of the cards, I can get closer to the dew point with less chance of error.

Additional Comment:

This looks promising
