Do I need latest drivers when GPU stressing for defects?
AFAIK, I have no defect issues. I want to check for defects before RMA deadline. I have the drivers that Windows installed. Can I use windows drivers instead of the latest? I don't want/need to install latest drivers for what I'm currently doing. |

3dmark11 will stress it but it won't be anywhere near the utilization of MSI Kombuster/0zone3d Furmark.
Drivers shouldn't make any difference unless AMD is still adjusting dynamic voltages. Check the changelog if you're really interested. It should be available on AMD's site. |

I installed 12.8 drivers and passed 3dmark 11 max volts = 1.14V max temp 58C!
 This means there's no defect with the card then? If so, time to buy mosfet heatsinks. Last edited by Stealth3si : 08-22-2012 at 11:46 PM. |
