Yea I got the overclocking failed screen on that one

Additional Comment:

And I aldready had the dram voltage to 1.6 from 1.5.

if you're not going to clock up your graphics card (which will dramatically affect your game performance, generally more so than CPU overclocking) then all that's left is to enjoy the fruit of your efforts~
your CPU is now 30% faster! and your memory subsystem is also better optimized!

Actually I will try overclocking my gpu and see what I can get xD So do I use the bios or some software?

software works just fine; you can check the AMD OVerdrive panel in the system tray. it's a decent starting point, though you can use more specialized software to push the limits.

Alright so i just started overclocking my 5850 and i noticed something a little oooodddd. my GPU clock speed is supposed to be at 725 MHZ riiiiight? When i read it with AMD GPU clock tool and GPU-Z it says it is set at 400?

That is actually normal. You'll need to put a load on the Gpu to see the full clock speed.

ATI/AMD does this to save power and there's really no way to turn it off permanently.

But I do believe that it can be (or will be) disabled with MSI AfterBurner while OC'ing with that utility. http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm
