I am not bashing them (right now), my problem is that they got negative press and people saying they don't care about the environment just because they didn't want to pay a company for a label saying they were "green". I'm pretty sure apple wasn't about to start throwing batteries in the ocean or do anything else they have never done. I'm pretty sure they were going to continue the "green" standards on their own without paying for a freaking license to be "green." As I said, I see this EPEAT company as a large scam, you pay them so they can give you a list of "standards" that a lot of companies already follow and so you can slap a new Buzzworthy "meets EPEAT standards" label on your products so hippies will like you. It's BS to me. |

Something I never see on new products anymore is the "UL" or Underwriters Laboratory sticker. All the new crap coming in from China will likely fail during unboxing at a UL lab. Now that is a sticker I don't mind paying extra for.
I wouldn't be surprised if China tries to copy the UL sticker and slap it on something one day. |
