? about Ram

are all ram cards the same or are some better(faster) than other? i got a cheap 8gb(2x4gb sticks) ram cards on ebay for like 32bucks. my computer seems faster than the 4gb before but not by much. im not sure how ram works and what numbers would be better higher or lower.

It shouldn't be faster, unless they are running @ faster speeds/tighter latency.

IMO, and some may disagree, for 90% of people out there 4GB is enough. You only need more if you are running out of ram, doing heavy multi-tasking, using programs that require lots of ram, etc.

I'd have to agree with you as I just upgraded to 8gbs from 4 just because I got some Ripjaws for 32 bucks and I notice no difference at all other than I never go above 30% usage now.
