According to the official DayZ website, the insanely popular ArmA II zombie survival mod has continued to be insanely popular. At the time of this post the total number of unique users now numbers 936,156, a rise of over 500,000 since we last covered the game's user base earlier this month.
That's pretty **** impressive for a mod! Bet BiS are just LOVING this mod.

As someone who played ARMA II before DayZ, I'm sure the fact that all the sudden there are A LOT more beta patches released on BIS's part is a testament to that to you

I think what's even more amazing is the fact that we are in alpha... we are not working on content! Just stability! Considering the popularity of the game and that it's just literally an empty sandbox at the moment, I think the project is heading in the right direction.

I bought arma literally just for the DayZ mod. Turns out I didn't like the game quite as much as I had hoped (mostly movement and character control stuff), but still a pretty nice mod considering.
