Cool Who is ready for 11314 to start getting 4M PPD?

Here's what I'm gonna be doing. My main rig is gonna have 2 GTX980s in SLI. (second 980 on the way) I'm also going to have two tiny PCs running a 970 each.(also on the way) That will push us over the 4M PPD mark, close to 5M.
I would have a 970 in my main rig (making 3 970s total) but I'm going to give my brother one, to upgrade him from his 750ti. And the 750Ti is going in my nephew's PC so he can play his RTS games again. If I can get another Board with 2-3 PCIe slots for cheap, I might make it one rig.

I am wanting to do a very stupid thing at some point. Once the 980Tis come down. I'm going to make another rack with one of these, some Riser cables, and 7 980Tis or what ever makes insane PPD for your money at the time. But that's way down the pipeline.

might take a while to get the points going. Ac is crapping out in the house, making my room insanely hot with just the 1 980 and 1 970. But I will press on. Also wanting to get Water Cooling on the dual 980s. My other 980 just came in and I can't bring myself to take this lovely block off it. So I gotta figure out how to get another block, tubing, pump, res and a 360 rad in my case that already has an h110 sitting in it.

Sounds good to me. I have to run a fan in my computer room almost year round. The 970s put out a lot of heat!

Not sure. From what little I can find, They are okay but the PPD per wat and PPD per dollar are still in Nvidia's favor. Now from what I've heard A team at AMD is working to help optimize some things but that was from post on folding forum form a couple of months back. After I get my tri 980s set up and figure out how I can best use my 2 970s, Lack a second rig with 2 PCIe slots.

From what I had last seen and R9 390X could pull 150k-250k PPD Compared to the now cheap 970s and 980s that can get 250k-300k (970) and 300k-400k (980). It's jsut better to have the nvidia cards. (Seriously cheap, I got 2 970s for $205 each on [H] and Higher end OCed 980s for $300)

Nice...

I've actually just recently hooked up my dev box and have been going through all my Folding stats code... trying to finally merge and push all the little changes & tweaks I've done but never got around to finishing...

Holy hell, he is alive. Thanks for keeping the Stats and site up all this time. You don't need an old 4p server do you?

Side note, I'm not gonna be at the 600k-800k I was for a bit. I'm getting my 980s ready for a WC loop, And I have 3 for one PC. So Yeah that should be a boost once things get going and two 970s will be in another PC that should be almost 24/7.

Sorry for the necro, but I felt the need to say "AMD GPUs are ok at folding, but NVidia wins even against the RX 480/580 series on PPD/watt *AND* on PPD/$.

VEGA might change that, but given the performance of the Fury generation I doubt that VEGA will be much better at PPD/$ than the RX 480/580 (and that's figuring at the "pre-shortage" cost basis).
