The X800GT clocks in at a nice cheap $77 bucks.

It's pipeline crippled, making it an X700 with GDDR3 and a 256 bit bus instead of a 128MB bus. Not bad, but the lack of pipelines hurts.

Then we have the X800GTO for $90. 13 bucks buys you 4 more pipelines but a lower core clock speed (which of course you can just overclock back up to what you want it to be).

Other than that, no other cards in newegg strike me as interesting in the ATI department because none of the X1600's or X1300's they have use DDR3, which makes them not worth buying most of the time in my opinion.

The X800GTO definitly seems like a good deal to me.

X1600XT is probably the best you can get from ATI for around $100. Nvidia has the value card section won. 7600GT is slightly cheaper after rebates and deals and whatnot, and it's a little better than the X1600XT.

Newegg had X1800gto is $119, it must have sold out. Not as fast as a 7600gt but better IQ. The 1300xt is alright. It has 12 piplines. Not bad for $80, but that's what my BFG 7600GT OC cost when-if I get the rebate.

Bleh, never get an X1300XT unless it's the GDDR3 version as it's just an underclocked X1650Pro, which is sweet.

I see newegg has an GECUBE X1800GTOD for 129 after $50 mail-in rebate (which if you're like me consider garbage and wouldn't go for in the first place), however this card will perform about the same as a 7600GT except for having superior anti-aliasing and HDR performance (and an extra DVI connector in some cases which may or may not be a selling point for you). The cooler on it also is reported to be high-pitched. If you see a HIS X1800GTO/[2] anywhere however, snatch it up if it's around the same price-point as it will unlock to full pipe capability and easily snag you 9500-10,000+ 3DMark05 points.
