Tore the motor down last weekend. Looks like someone did an engine swap. It is a 302.

Nice, I want to do this for my wife at some point but I am looking at doing a 03/04 terminator motor (cobra). Also doing updated suspension and brakes, I have done a couple swaps of LS motors into older vehicles (90's camaros/firebirds and one 67 camaro) I love doing the older cars they are so much easier haha.

Anyways great work that's awesome to see, I never see a car in bad shape I only see what they will look like haha I guess that is a gift and a curse.

So got a good amount of work done. Found some heads on CL that are just reworked and hardened seats. Grabbed them for $100. Heads that were on it had broken studs. So it worked out. Here is an updated pic of the engine.
