OK this isnt directed at you directly.. But I am personally sick of titles like that... HELP!..Just I would like to learn about overclocking or I wanna learn to overclock would do fine..the "HELP" is just not necessary.
Dont mean to look like a jerk...just really sick of it.. That said
Welcome to the club You dont "need" to overclock but if you want things to run as fast and as bad *** as possible then overclocking is the only way.

just crank up the fsp to like somewhere around 333(1333) or 350(1400) it'll give you a clean cut of 3.3GHz @ somewhere around 1.45v you'll be happy with it

PLEASE don't say that, people will actually do that

Aight, first I believe extreme chips have an open multi - if that's the case, just crank the multi by one step, and test in OCCT Linpack, if it crashes bump the multi, also keep the temps under something like 75-80C under full load, that should do it

Welcome to EOCF Antonio.RFX, you've come to the right place to learn how to overclock and there are plenty of folks here that will be willing to help. You should probably start out by reviewing some of the essential guides which you can find at the following link:

ur talking about the multiplier right?

I played with that a bit. got to x14 3.7ghz and it was pretty stable.

Does this mean i dont have to deal with any voltages using this method. or do i have to just use the multiplier?

Additional Comment:

also,

i tried messing with voltage settings, and it ran ok, until...

I started up my pc one day, and it started restarting itself over and over again, until reaching to the post code 4E (790i evga).

I tried everything, clearing cmos, resetting ram, pci slots. even took out the cpu and put it back.

What does this mean.

I did manage to get into the bios one time, and it shows only 2 core of my quad core working. Whats up?

Try 1 stick of RAM at a time to narraow down the possibility of a single stick causing it.
