Question fx 8120 and squeal sound

hi everyone
I just got this fx 8120 and my computer makes that squeal sound when I open badaboom converter or when I'm on youtube or pages with animates gif pictures
also previusly when i had the athlon ii x4 linx could do 35 gflops and this one only 25gflops
haven't had any bsods or stability issues
my psu has 3 lights standby another one and temperature all 3 are on all the time

specs:
MOBO: asus m5a99x evo, flashed to latest bios
psu: thermaltake toughpower xt 750w
video card: geforce 550ti evga

another tip, it never does it outside windows or when installing
thanks all for any help, this drives me nuts.
update: if I set volts to 1.325, manual mode not offset and enable hpc computer starts and
immediately shuts down, after some attemps it goes on again and if i set defaults it goes on
fine.
update 2: disabled turbo core, went all manual and set multi to 15.5, thats 3,100 ghz problem gone
now still getting slow linx pack results compared with the athlon ii x4 at 3,100 ghz
can i go 4ghz with voltage in auto? i dont know the cpu voltage it changes all the time
thanks again

Souds like you are getting "coil squeel" it is caused by the coils on the mobo vibrating fast and making the squeeling noise, and im afraid theres not a lot you can do about it apart from live with it, i get it on my old AM2 giga board when under load, it is annoying but not dangerous, buying a new board is the only remedy if it bothers you that much.

Tip: BD is slow....that's why it flopped.
You'll need to get it up around 4.5GHz to match the performance of your old X4 chip.

This.... My BD rig I built for the wife pushes ~ 19-22 GFlops @ 4.7ghz (FX4100) Where as my 2600K @ 4.6 gets ~ 65+ GFlops.
