Macbook Pro - Severely Degraded screen protection film

Hello,

I bought my Macbook Pro, a Late 2013 model, around two years ago and I started getting tiny spots on the screen a few months after purchase. I Ignored these spots at the time as they were very minute and didn't bother me much. However, since the past couple of months the protection film(If that's what it is) has deteriorated where I can no longer stand it. I have attached images I took using a phone to show two prominent spots.

One is the bottom corner where the film appears to have been 'scratched' at and the second is more central area where the keyboard seems to have made marks upon it. This should not be possible as there is no contact between the keyboard and screen as far as I know:

I tried posting in their support website but it gave me some error telling me I was not allowed to create this content whatever that means.
I would like to know if there is anything Apple can do about this to help me.

Thanks in advance.

Additional Comment:

An update.

I was able to find more information about my problem. It seems that this is a known issue with mine, previous to mine and following my series of Macbook displays. The 'anti-reflective' coating degrades rapidly with this era of apple laptop computers. Thankfully Apple has acknowledged the problem and has a replacement program in place & earlier today I went to the local Authorised Apple service center, which is run by a 3rd party in my country(India) and submitted my laptop for repairs. Apparently they will replace the entire display screen and not just apply a fresh coat of anti-reflect.

My service experience wasn't entirely pleasant though and I would like to make mention of it here. When I was there they very strongly attempted to charge me the equivalent of 37US$ as 'Diagnostic' charges. The lady at the desk told me that they need to hook it up to their 'Diagnostic machine' and as my laptop was out of warranty this would be charged. Upon questioning further on why they would need to hook it up to any kind of machine as the issue is clearly the external reflective coating and nothing mechanical in nature and also mentioning my previously done research(forums) on Apples replacement program for this very particular issue, she went back inside and came out minutes later to let me know that they would indeed fix it at their cost. I've coalesced my discussion with them but there was some back and forth before they agreed to fix it at their cost.

I will receive the laptop back in about 3-5 days time and I hope everything will be to my satisfaction. Will post an update with feedback on work done If anyone is interested.

Bravo for not falling for it. There is little honor left in business, especially the billing dept. Imagine how many people get tricked out of small sums of money each day. Consumer advocacy training should be a mandatory element of primary education.

Okay, I obviously have a chip on my shoulder, glad you got your screen fixed btw.

I don't think you have a chip on your shoulder at all for posting this. It is a fact.
Either that or I share your chip.

Yes. Unfortunately this seems common practice and someone not technically inclined could easily be led to believe that they actually have to pay a 'fee'.

I forgot to mention earlier. I didn't give this work job with the screen replacement, as I wasn't sure on cost, but the speakers on my Macbook Pro are damaged and need replacing. I have been quoted the equivalent of 98$ for this replacement. Could you guys tell me if this is fair price for speaker replacement on this laptop?

Thanks again.

Fair is a relative term unfortunately. I've saved a lot of money over the years by shopping around, I'd suggest you do the same.

On a side note, I paid off a promotional balance on my Home Depot card that had accrued $535.xx of interest last month. Thankfully I paid it off a month in advance because when I got my statement this month I noticed that I still owed .35 on the promo balance. When I called to inquire just wtf was going on they told me they had diverted .11 and .24 to other promotional balances but assured me this was not an attempt to cause my deferred interest to become active. I told them just how badly that reeked of BS and continued to explain why I though so until deciding I had wasted enough time. It was frustrating to say the least.

It is BS. I'd have tossed them a buck and said F off.

I received my laptop back from service today. They have replaced the entire LCD display to rectify the issue. I'm guessing this is an updated panel with a new version of the anti-reflective display.

Also, the Apple ***** said I would get an e-mail from Apple Care asking me for my feedback regarding this service and to leave a positive feedback. I'll be leaving one tasty feedback.

Thanks everyone for your input.
