Overclocking the i5 3570k.

I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M LGA 1155 Intel Z77 mobo

with an i5 3570k. Looking to hit about 4.4 - 4.7ghz. I am an Intel noob after having AMD for so long. I am wondering the max safe voltage, max safe temp, pll voltage?, turbo voltage, etc. Thanks!

Intel recommended max VID is 1.52V, max temp 67.4C, other voltages on pg 84 Dataset Volume 1: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/...datasheet.html

What CPU cooler you using?

NH-D14 for a cooler. Intel spec sheet says 105c.

with that cooler you should be able to get 4.5+ but it also depends on the cpu they all dont oc the same

do you know the batch #

i run mine @ 4.7 1.3v after that it gets to night for my taste

and as for volts the only ones you really have to mess with is vcore and vmem, i leave my other volts at stock/auto

and just set your multi thats about it... its not very hard to oc intel

Nice cooler; you should be able to hit your OC target with that cooler given you got a good CPU. You missed a key phrase in my post, "Intel recommended".
