On the overclocking page, he says, “Using a decent clocking Model 3400+ … and a Gigabyte 3D cooler, 10 x 250 wasn't a problem and 9 x 275 was doable too, the mainboard showing off a little. Both overclocks were done by booting at 11 x 230 and using ClockGen and NVIDIA's System Utility to drop multiplier and increase derived HTT, with HTT multiplier at 4X. |

We want to keep the CPU under 40C@idle & under 50C@load.
The case temps MUST be at least 10C cooler than the desired CPU temp. You will need SpeedFan, Motherboard Monitor (MM5) or a similar program so that you can monitor your temps as you OC. There is probably a Thermalright XP-90 HS, with a Panaflo 92mm 68.8CFM fan in your future. Dave

Thanks, Dave. It looks as though I'm going to need a bunch of monitoring software. And I bet you're right about Thermalright and Panaflo. It doesn't take a crystal ball, does it? The more I read about overclocking, the more I read about the necessity for cooling. And you're the man. I'm sure I'll be bugging you as I get into this.
