I think it's because double pass radiators have a huge impact on flow, where single pass radiators dont reduce your flow as much. You're flow rate is an important part of the overall performance of the system.

I know this thread is SUPER old, but I added up the prices from the first "setup" and they cost more then if you were to get this kit http://www.petrastechshop.com/pecogpuba.html which has all the same components and costs less??
