This is a shot of the outside with the side panel on - the window and the sticker on it were stock, and I haven't modded anything yet. I don't need any cooling mods anyway, so it might be a while before I rewire all of the LEDs blue and that sort of thing...

Suggestions?

Just for giggles, here's another machine I have (and that I won't be O/C'ing or modding anytime soon.)

I was thinking about putting it on eBay and thought it would contrast nicely with everything else here.

It's an original IBM PC-3270 (3270 because it contains 2 boards that make it into a 3270 terminal.)

The screen isn't even CGA - but it is colour. 640K of RAM, 5.25" 360K full-height flip door floppy drive, 10MB full-height 5.25" hard disk. It's got PC-DOS 3.1 (I believe) on it, and it works.

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot that the processor is a 4.77MHz Intel 8086...sort of the antithesis of overclocking, as it doesn't get any slower with a PC.

My First Mod

Yes, it's a simple one (or so you would think) but I'm so proud of myself I just had to post a pic of it. Cutting that hole in the lexan (without a holesaw) was a real bugger.

Realistically, this is one of the few things that was left to do to my case (other than paint the guts, but I don't have the time for that right now.)

By the by, the blowhole is positioned right over the video card - to put fresh air across the ramsinks.

Ok, I believe this is the first pic I took before I moved stuff outta the way. My computer was making annoying vibrating noises (sounded like if you stuck your finger into a high-speed fan and left it there, it was really loud!) so that's why I opened it up to move the stuff out of the way. Turns out my slot blower was loose, but hey, now you all can see the inside of my cramped micro-atx case! This pic looks at my cards actually. The one on the bottom is my graphics card. Just above that is the 10/100 ethernet card, just above that is the sound card. And the black thing above that is the slot blower.

And here we are with the blue cold cathode in there. My wife pointed out how the light comes out through the front panel - and you can see the green reservoir at the bottom.

It's just too bad that the video card blocks so much light from getting to the upper reaches of the case...

Arrow

I am first to post a pic, JAM!!!!!

Lets see, my computer is an aquarious, it likes watersports, long walks on the beach, and its favorite color is green. It doesn't get jealous, but it is not afraid to move on from a spoiling relationship.

For more info please call 555-5534 and ask for Julie.
