Nod32 for me, best of almost all of the antivirus in detecting new viri without being updated.

Of the two i'd go for NOD32 very fast scanning and good heuristics, which means you can come up with some false positives.. but im a kaspersky user anyway Check some reviews. http://www.software-antivirus.com/pr...us-review.html

Nod32

1) First off.... With AVG installed... When I restart or shut down and powerup again, I get to the windows loading screen, and it stays loading for ever... So, I uninstall AVG and my machine boots properly.
2)Installed Nod32 and no problems what so ever.

I was changing from Avast! to Either AVG or NOD32 the other day.

But I didn´t find a free version of NOD32... only AVG
So is NOD32 a free verion after all?

(I came to the conclution that NOD32 was better)
(And I also can see the difference/slower in boot-up times after getting AVG)

**Edit**
Just notices, in one of the review links above, that NOD32 puts 3 icons in the system tray.
I hate having alot of things there, i´m a minnimalist when it comes to my desptop and rest...hehe

Thanks for the "one Icon" info and the link.
I knew there was a trial verion. But I first thought that there was also a free verion

Guess i´ll just have to stick with AVG

Who ever edited a link OUT of their post, could you re-link me? PM or just here?

It was the link that you had to open with IE...
Thanks.

I´m thinking of going for something else than Avast or AVG... but preferebly free. I´m a student with no money to spare, or if I had any then that would go into hardware

I started using NOD32 with my new system and love it so far - no lagging load times or extra "bloat" that some other AV programs have...I had to switch cuz Panda Titanium was causing problems with DrWatson in WinXP and giving me random reboots
