The Athlon II regor single cores do unlock, that I do know. You get a dual from them. So I had to ask any ways
.A 4.2ghz validation from an air cooler is good. Like I said, the Athlon's and Semprons I clocked where lucky to see 4ghz at all. |

Is stability required for this, or is it okay if it crashed 30 minutes after?

Hey I'd like to join
please add me to the club. I just upgraded to the AMD Phenom II x6 1100T and had a heck of a time getting it to 4GHz but I made it.

OC fine-tuning in progress
FX-6300, So far just overclocked on air with minor voltage increase and with multi adjustments. Have yet to really tweak it. liquid cooling to be installed soon once I make a new mounting plate that fits the new socket (old one was for 939)
I'll post the CPU-Z soon

The wattage reading thing is probrably a glitch with this release for a 64 bit OS but the part that shows up as (Using your CPU-Z as an example) "4-20" is normal, I see this reading everytime I open the proggy in my OS (XP Pro 32 bit). Can't explain the blurred wattage reading so again that's probrably a bug.

Finally got some good cooling on My 965BE ( Scythe Mugen 3 with 2 12omm fans) and temps are great but run into heat problems elsewhere. NB goes up to almost 60c and shuts down even with an aftermarket active cooler, so now I'm stuck at 4180MHz again. Actually, I'm not even 100% sure which readings are what. On the CPUID HW monitor There are 3 temperature readings that I still can't be sure what do they represent, TMPIN0, 1 and 2 which at idle read 38, 35 and 85c and according to Speed fan come from an IT8720F chip. I checked at Gigabyte forums but nobody was able to tell me what exactly do they represent. all I know is that when I run load tests TMPIN0 stays almost the same with a slight rise, TMPIN1 jumps really fast up to a tad under 60c when it shuts down. On the other hand TMPIN2 stays the same (apparently too high and incorrect reading) that would be quite noticeable when touching different parts of the MB.
Other than that, I had it up to almost 4.4GHz but forget about stability. 4180MHz is all I can get totally stable. Does anybody have an idea what those TEMPIN readings actually show. http://valid.canardpc.com/2834425 Last edited by CountMike : 06-16-2013 at 04:32 AM. |
