I tend to agree with Mr.Scott. However, if its just a burnt diode, transitor or two and not one of the caps, and you're somewhat skilled with a soldering iron, you might attempt a fix and have it for a backup. If its a cap, especially the main cap, the cost is probably prohibitive.

Get the fan if it works and you can cut up the heatsink for memory if you like using homemade stuff with a little arctic silver adhesive

Oh yea those wires with all the connectors on them take them right off the board, they could come in handy if you ever need to mod a power supply to have more adapters on it!
If they are modular you might be able to re-use them easily or sell them to someone with a similar power supply who might need just 1 more sata bundle or something. |
