forget 80, 90, 120mm fans

okay if you want to get cooler water temps without chilling, get a larger heatercore and place it outside of your case and put a small 8-12" desktop fan in front of it. It will really imporve your temps by 5 degrees minimum and most likely 10-15.

if you can stand the noise I *guess* that would work. But without a shroad, the fan's air will probably go many places besides the radiator. Shoud it and it would get even better

Sorry, but that's a ****ed lie. Most water temperatures are less than 5C above ambient. It's a waste of space, but if you have it, go for it, I guess.

Hey AA. I built one of these today and have been running all Day long with it. My ambient temp is 23.1C, case temp is 33C, water temp 25.6C, and CPU is @45C (this I have to work on, I am going to get another water block this week) My vga water block is keeping it at approx 39C, so its holding its own. The Zalman CPU waterblock isnt doing a very good job, to me. But I am happy with the results of the Heater core and fan set up that I have now. I will post some pics later. I am building some more of these babies, because some of the local boys want some of them.

39C on your VC? I get 28C idle with my VGA Silencer. Looks like you really need a new radiator/fan.

I have the 9600xt oced from 500/600 to 600/680. My old temps were 47C load, now 28C, but my case is cooled very well.

my 5900xt is oced to 475/732 from stock 400/700. my water temps is running between 25-27c so I believe with good water blocks I will bring those temps down pretty good. I didn't say that the Vcard was a good temp, I said its holding its own (with very mediocre blocks). my case temps isn't even 28C so yeah your case must be pretty cool. Actually my case temps is 9C above ambient.
