Far cry is behaving very very strange

I just bought this game, installed the patch and let Farcry run a its recommended settings (autodetect) so everything was basically on high,

well there came the problems, just when I played a few minutes, everything would grind to a halt (freezes) and the colors and textures were all wacky, so I thought what is this so I restarted the game and all, still the same problem, sometimes it would recover from the freeze only to get worse with wacky distortions) I even got 2 screens of death? (its perfectly stable and I did flash my card but before that I played the demo with no problems on the highest settings, also all the other games before the flash were very good playable,)

I have a MSI FX5900XT flashed with a modded bios (from jimmor Guru3d)
205x13 @ 1.9 vcore...temps are under control...

Maybe I should flash my card back to the original bios? Also I can run for instance 3dmark03 for a hour looping with no errors at all, this is actually my first game after the flash, shall I try an other game or something?

Maybe because its the aopen aolus bios, I thought it was compatible and they advised me to just try them...

One of the BSOD's was Driver IRQL not less or equal...

Edit: I'm still getting freezes and such, but on low settings not?

It means you're unstable, probably the ram. This game is a great stability tester, i found that out. I was at 225fsb before i started playing this game.

It's also a resource hog. While your problems sound primarily VC related, this game does require 1 gig of memory, and if you've only got 512, that could also be adding to the problems. If you've got less than a gig, you will get choppy game play, due to virtual memory useage.

Guess I'll have to update my profile lol, I have 1 gig now, AND I know whats wrong...flashed my card, and the moment I got lockups and gibberish I felt my vid-card ram ouch!! that was hot so I think I'll go back to my old bios, they were soo cool then...(new bios lower latency's for memory, higer clock rate, but still more heat)

thanx

Edit: I said its was hot but that was an understatement, I could fry my hamburgers on it lol
