No just install it using the same key as the other. They won't conflict.

Well... you can't install them on two different machines with different connections, right. So why should you with these two? I mean... They are both connected to the internet. *

Red face

He would send the county sheriff to your door, having a permit in his hand to take your computer, all the microsoft applications in your house, and then, you would get a letter in the mail. It would say something about a $150,000 fine and thirty days to reply to it. Also note : you would have to pay for all the apps again. ( Including Xbox and Xbox games. )

EDIT : If you read the EULA you will see it says clearly you are only leasing the product.

Chances of them finding out is 1/1000. Freakin no way to track. And they can't come barging into your house either. Plus bill gates making enough money with the legit copys he does sell, he doesn't give a rats *** who copy his crap. he's already freakishly rich

No, he doesn't really care. But... he does make house calls. And I am afraid the chances are a little better than that. *When you activate your CD you are online.

this thread is rediculous, microsoft lets you activate the same copy of XP 9 times. if for some reason it won't activate, you simply call up microsoft, talk to a service rep and tell them that you needed to reinstall, and they'll give you a number that works

Well if you try to register illegal copies, you deserve to get caught. I mean who'd do that? In theory they can track you if you have a static ip. I for one don't live in the usa and have a dynamic ip that one can't associate with me anymore after two weeks.

Something with my router; My IP changes all the time. Good, because no one can track me. Bad because I can't host a CS game.

I don't know what it is, but my router does it.
