Please guys, give me ANY ANSWERS/SUGGESTIONS and if you need more info, PLEASE ASK!!! THANX GUYS EDIT I have actually found something that MIGHT help me since i'm at work rightnow, so please tell me if this can really solve my problem, i will let you guys know what the resulsts were, but before i do, i need more suggestions guys... thankx a lot! Here's what I got from D-Link's website:
FAQ - Q00091 Q00091 Q: I've upgraded to the latest firmware, all connections to the gateway are correct, but I still cannot obtain an IP address on the gateway from my ISP. Is this unit defective? A: No. Some providers actually bind their services to your MAC address (the physical address of your Network Adapter), so when you plug-in your gateway, the MAC address does not match that of the registered MAC (your card). To fix this, you can either contact your ISP and ask them to release your MAC, or you can login to the gateway and clone the existing registered MAC. This must be done with the computer that you normally access the Internet with. Login to the appropriate screen within the gateway (see below) and clone the MAC address. Save and reboot the gateway settings, and you should then be able to access the Internet. Location of Clone MAC: DI-704/DI-704P/DI-707/DI-713P - Tools Menu DI-604/DI-614%2b - HOME/WAN Menu DI-804V/DI-711 - BASIC SETUP/ISP ADDITIONAL SETTINGS (manual entry) |
