Mixing memory and Dual Channel Support?
Ram in my system is currently this: CORSAIR 256MB DDR PC3200LL If I can mix what would be good Ram from both Kingston and OCZ. Would Kingston be preferred etc? Not really sure what to do wanted to get a extra stick or two of the Corsair I already have but that’s a no go unless the mixing is no good. Edit incase it matters mobo im useing is the Asus P4C-800 Deluxe or whatever its called:P Seeing it also has Dual channel support would i be moving to single channel if i say only put 1 stick of ram into slot 2? So would i have to buy say two stick of 256 to be able to continue runnign in dual channel mode |

Don't ask why unless you want to join them. |

Also dual channel support is optimized if you put each stick of RAM in its corresponding channel. My board has 4 DDR slots where 1&3 are on one optimized channel and 2&4 on the other. So my setup is |_|_. Or you could do _|_|. You cannot do dual channel with only one stick hence the word dual! For money and performance sake get 256MB OCZ PC-3200 EL and run it dual channel with your current. |
