Hey all first time posting in here.

I have a 9800 pro but with the r360 core, so i XT bios flashed it, was told that the bios would have access to improved shaders? and it did seem to boost it abit even with the clock ******ed to pro speeds.

I stuck on the obligatory Arctic VGA Silencer, it gave me stabillity over the the stock sink, which was great was able to run stable at 470 / 380 which i was happy with.

Of course I can never leave it alone and after a couple hours gming decided i'd try and squeese a few more megaherts out so i found my aerolite 7 fan for my CPU modded it and fitted it to the arctic cooler (ha went one better then Nvidia i got 3PCI slots i cant use j/k ) also tried turning the case upside down all this gave me 7MHz more stable and although louder the sink to the touch was cooler then before and the air flow was deffinetly higher through the fins.

So got 477 stable - was I happy was I f***

So was surfing the net and I saw the SubZero4G for a pentium 487 got the whole thing £20, it was baught as a play thing, got my arctic silverthermal paste out and slapped it on my GFXC, and the PCB didnt snap, yet, So i run it up give it a few quick 3dmark tests and it all seems okay push it up to 470 and its stable and runs. When i checked on it the heatsink was hot enough to burn and it was pumping out hot air like a teenager on barcadi and red bull.

So i found the o/c i got odd it was lower then the just air solution, so i went and tried to find the watts of the cpu's and radeon 9800 i found it before but i guess its because i was looking for it :P that i couldnt find it now, but i was pretty sure that the r360 didnt o/p as much as a pentium 3 - 4 ghz, am i wrong.

all-in-all abit dissapointing, but now i have the controller for the subzero i was thinking of sticking a higher wattage pelt, i beleave its 80 watts on there i was thinking of either the same wattage or slightly higher, but the current pelt has an area of 40 x 80 mm, so if i got a pelt of same wattage but of a surface area more along the lines of 40 x 40 or even 30 x 30

I am also thinking of using the heat sink off the artic cooler as it seems better then the subzero one, good bad?

would that make a difference in cooling?

can you get pelts that small?

Will the plastic on my arctic cooler melt (probably) ? - oh it will be modded with the aerolite fan.

Any thing on this anyone can add would be great i am a new to pelts heard of em before but didnt take much interest.

Though i got my self a prommy which will be doing my cpu but cant afford another for gfx, um, yet
