How come our production is down?

I haven't been in the FAH section here in a while, but I noticed our team stats. Its not encouraging to see a unstable bullish stock market style of our team.

I've been folding on 2 boxes 24/7, my AMD box, sometimes - I might let it get a WU done in a day, but I control when it runs.

I bought a lappy and would love to help out. Are laptops efficently cooled enough to run FAH? I'd hate to burn out in like 4 months.

What can we do to improve our production. I got my friend chris aka R4D4R take part for our team - all for the cause which is excellent. He's doing excellent, and will pass ME in like 32 days or something (wow!). But, maybe we can try more giveaways... (I saw the unoffical FAH giveaway... but y'know what I mean?)

Did Shroomer quit folding?!! I know he left due to some lame immaturity on the forums (he shoulda permabanned that person :-x). Anyhow, we need to get a company with boxes to run FAH for us... hm.

EDIT:
I just thought, I run a 2.4GHz, with some webapps running in the background, I bet I can run FAH. (Not "install" it, but run it from my network drive!). If IT staff complains I'll take it off, but explain to them whats its about, so they could even roll it out in the next image.

It would OWN to have the "America Online Folding Team"... hehe... its all for the same cause. (I'll run mine for EOCF). We (AOL) have thousands of computers that have LOTS of wasted CPU cycles [that FAH can use], the buidlings have very good A/C.

The 'S' man is folding for another team now, and I wouldn't say anything more about it, it's a good way to get the thread closed. I have upped my production some and I know others are too. But we lost a few heavy-duty folders so our production is off quite a bit. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit!!

Actually the up/down phenonmon is common for all teams. There are many reasons for it, here are just a few:

- Season Shift (People fold less, or crash more during the summer)
- A Stanford Server Goes Down (WUs can't be requested/returned)
- Tinkerer availablity
- Some people who loose interest, or gain interest...

Nobody has a straight line really, and while if you look at the graphs it could be somewhat jagged, but that is probably just exaeraged from the scale on the side which varies dynamically. So what might look like a lot is really just a small amount.

Yeah, I had to stop my AMD folder... holding an average of 52C was disappointing... even with "decent" case cooling, my room is too hot!

I got my intel's folding constant (Celery 1.70GHz, and a P4 2.40GHz)

I had to stop for August... too **** hot in the basement where I keep my rigs. Hated to do it, but will be back up in September I think.
