Verbosity 9 = Slower Production

Well after using verbosity 9 flag for a week I noticed my production went down about 20%. It always kept trying to "autosend" WU's and "trigger" crap which took up more time. Maybe it is just that way for me, but I just wanted to point it out to people who have no taken verbosity 9 out of their command line. I suggest you do that and see if production goes up at all.

It's cause of the tinkers I'll bet, everyone's production went down.

nope i only had about 1 tinker the whole week is what i usually have, plus it never did that "trigger" thing while folding a stinker

I don't think the verbosity flag affects the speed of the wu, it just shows you more info about what's going on behind the scenes.

well it slowed my weekly production down, try taking it off all your machines for a week and see if you get a higher production rate, wouldnt hurt to try

I agree with Fem. Verbosity 9 is the highest level of information written to the log and client, but it should not affect production. Turn off verbosity 9 and it will be more difficult to troubleshoot if the need arises. If anything it is the units being dished out by the servers. The mountain is high, the valley is low. And your confused on which way to go. Come on and take a free ride! Keep on folding on!

You can set the checkpoint timer (trigger) in the console setup. It's set to 15 minutes by default. You can raise that to whatever you'd like, but afaik, the reason for the checkpoints is to "save" the work that's been done in between. Longer intervals mean more to lose should something go wrong.

This is all still happening whether you run the verbosity 9 flag or not. You just "see" it with the flag running.

well maybe you guys are right but still it wouldnt hurt to take verbosity 9 off for a week and see if there is a change in production. i mean i am not trying to pull on your short and curlies here, i am just trying to help out
