Bad 9600 Pro Fan - Odds of Damage?
So I've ordered the Arctic-Cooling Revision 3 cooler. I've got a couple questions. What are the odds that my video card was damaged when it overheated with the bad fan? Is there any sure way I can tell? I'd like to know before I void my warranty with the aftermarket cooler. If someone can link me to a thread, or describe here, the best way to get the stock heat sink off of the 9600 Pro, I'd appreciate it. I know it's put on with some sort of adhesive paste, and I'm afraid of breaking the thing. Thanks in advance for any help. |
