Best gaming headset?

Ok well I have my sony headphones here, mdr-v700, but I want a really nice set of headphones that are a bit lighter that have a mic on them.

They will be used for gaming and movies and music and whatnot on my comp only, however, my onboard sound is kinda ****ty on the msi k8n neo2 platinum.

What would the best choice be for headphones?

Anyone have any opinions on them if you own them?

personally i love my zalman 5.1 headphones they r great and work just fine. sure they are nowhere near speaker quality such as a 5.1 logitech z680 setup but they r really cheap and worth it imo for games and dvds and the like

Well I found a local retailer with this headset for a really decent price, so I went ahead and ordered them........ along with 8 120mm fans for both of my dual heatercores

I ordered the Plantronics DSP-500 headset, which is supposedly the best gaming set you can get after reading reviews and researching.

Anyone here own a set, or used a set?

thats a old review m8, honestly the pc155 are the best, unless sumin new has come out in the last 6 months, which was the last time i looked, also, how much were they, ive never used any b4 so i cant comment on how gd they are. I may be wrong tho, either way, both headsets will be very gd quality.

I have the Plantronics DSP-500 and they are great for gaming, very comfortable and with the built in microphone and volume adjust w/mute inline it is very handy. You must definitely have front USB ports for them though.

They have very good sound reproduction and the bass is very good also.

Sennheiser PC-155. They're expensive though (my cousin paid $106.94 for his), so... if you can't get them, get Plantronics DSP-500s.

edit: oh you already bought one. :P

i was at besy buy a couple of days ago and I heard both the klipsch 5.1 and logitect z5300e side by side. You might not believe this, but the logitect sounded so much better. And the logitect cost less too. dont waste your money on klipsch! from what i have heard, the z-5500 from logitect are really good and still less then klipsch. Let me say it again, "don't waste your money on Klipsch!."
