SilenX PSU's

SilenX has recently broke into the market with their range of "silent" PC equipment. My case is loaded up with 5 x 80mm of their 14dBA fans. they cost abit, upto 3x as much as a cheep 80mm fan, but i can vouce that they are inteed totally silent. ive played with my fan controller and i cant hear a wisker from them. I also found my temps to be in the same range as my case loaded with 5 x standard (more CFM + more dBA). Quite impressive, if a little costly.

Anyway i saw their range of PSU's on their site, which are also branded as silent with 14dBA, and the specs didnt look too shabby.

Anyone with any opinions on these PSU's? They seem expensive compaired to Antec and OCZ, and personally i dont find my Antec True noisey at all.

Specs can be found: http://www.silenxusa.com/productcart...p?idCategory=3

Excellent PS's, but very expensive for their ratings.

i guess they'll attract the people who want silent PSU's. we get quite alot around here. Although in saying theyre expensive, in the uk, one the best prices i can get for an OCZ PowerStream 600w is £152. The SilenX 600w Pro equivilent, is £132.

Different class of PS's, there are several lines, not all are as good & OCZ has a lot more to offer OC'ers.

silenx = silent PC
OCZ = powerful PC

silenx will be quieter than OCZ, which is already silent enough...

Thats what I would expect. I think most would agree that they are high quality power supplies (mfg by FPS group?). Unfortunately the cost of silence is very high. If a "quiet" PSU is acceptable, rather than a "silent" PSU, then there are many alternatives that represent a better value.
