That's a fairly decent waterblock... But not the best. In truth, a lot also depends on the radiator. Any specific plans for that?

Socket 478 right?

http://www.dangerden.com/mall/mazep4_478.asp

The black ice ex. is a good choice for a radiator... Given either combo, I'd say you'll be beating the snot out of aircooling!

well i'm gonna use ur parallel plan for it and buy another radiator then surround each of them with Delta 120MM (it's going inside a fridge and on an external power source and having a reservoir)

What ever happened to that custom spiral waterblock someone was talking about a while ago? Did they ever test it?

Looked to me like it would work very well.

It's called the Gemini Spiral waterblock, and it beat the Maze2 in most reviews I've seen... But Danger Den has xome out with the Maze 3 which is a spiral design also so we'll have to wait and see the results.

dunno i can't find the reviews but the Big Momma is the best the site that i visited had ever reviewed even though it is huge and very heavy the ran it through a 1GHZ Duron clocked to 3GHZ it ran the CPU core temp at 24 degrees celcius but he didn't want to shift the voltage up any more (he though it would be very dangerous) and the coolant still came out of the radiator at -20 degrees celcius even under full load

The Gemini was a good 3-4°C cooler than the Maze2... But they said if they pressed down on it, the CPU would get a few degrees colder, so they obviously has some mounting issue with the Maze.

And as of yet, I can't find the Big Momma for sale. The company that made/sold it went out of bisuness.

Just FYI...

"Hello,

I'm inquiring about Big Momma Radiators... I've been looking for them for some time without success since overclock-watercool went out of business... I noticed that you list them as out of stock. Can you still get them?

Thanks,

Jeff"

"No we can no longer get them, but we have a what is called a heater core that is essentially the same thing as a Big Momma.
Sincerely,
Connie

I don't think the Heater Core is the same thing. And from what I see, the Black Ice Extreme II is probably the best thing you'll be able to find without going to some aircraft heat exchanger or something exotic like that.

lol i don't care about the size of the thing really cos my sis is going away to a University Dorm so my rents r knocking down the partition wall between our rooms and giving me one big room i'd say max size is as long as it didn't come out of some Peterbilt truck but i'll look into the Black ice extreme II cos i'm gonna b running pelts eventually so i gotta make sure it can take that kinda application

You COULD get multiple heater cores and run them in parallel... The reason why the BIE II is better IMO, is the fact that it's twice the size, and still provides an acceptable flow rate. But if you want to go nutz, (Read the Ji Kuang article!) then get 4 heatercores and plumb them in Parallel. But that's probably a little much, and you probably won't see much of a gain in performancec unless you use TEC's... But it'd be fun!
