Doesn't sound like anything which would be construed as "healthy behaviour". Has this been induced by attempted overclocking of the card, or just natural causes ?

Ok, I'm a little confused... You replaced the fan/HS and it was fine for 3 months? Or after you replaced them, it stopped working?

OK sorry for the confusion. i got the g-card about 3 months ago and removed the heatsinks and then reattched with articsilver2+eproxy compound. and it ran fine for about 3 months and then 2 days ago i booted up and got the problem, but it worked fine for about 3 months with the mods and being OC'ed. it was cooled by 2x y.s.tech fans 80mm DC12v 8.52W fans extracting air from the card and the side of my case was off. 0]

Unfortunately the only thing I can think of that would cause it to fail after so much time, is heat damage. But look at it this way... now you can buy a GF4!!

Or get a GF3 at a steal...

I bought a g43 card from compusa, and as soon as i got it home it did the matrix thing on me, would not even make it in to windows, not even show its own bios display just weird symbols going down the screen and then crash, i took it back they told me it was my computer, i asked if they would test it in some computer they had in back, they did and it just about fryed that computer, they gave me my mony back and i got a pny gf3 off then net and it works fine.

So my guess is its cooked take it out of the oven and get a gf4... i cant wait to wast more money on one of those when they come out

Same thing happened to me with a Geforce2 TI card when I accidentally got some arctic silver in the DDR pins while installing RAMsinks. I tried circuit board cleaner and degreaser and it got better, but it's still scrambled. There's got to be some way to thoroughly clean AS from the card. I'm sure that would fix my problem and maybe yours as well.

how long did you have the side of your case off? when you do that, you mess up the airflow around your CPU and motherboard, so things could overheat from that also...if your card was OC'd that much, it probably is the fact that it overheated when you OC'd it, so chances are your card is screwed....try your old card first, and remember to leave the side of your case ON when you test it out....if you don't, you're gonna risk overheating your CPU and/or damaging some internal components...

Makatiel, he was referring to the fact that the dude typed "tit 500." I got a good laugh out of it.
