Well its that time, need to replace mp3 player, any suggestions?

Well after a nice night of being drunk and blacking out I managed to send my mp3 player through the washer and dryer and now its dead. My rio karma has served me very well through the past years, Im thinking of getting another identical one since it has awsome sound quality, nearly invincible, and its 20 gigs. But I was thinking, hmm maybe I could upgrade, but I dont really know of any that would be as good as the rio karma. Price is a small issue, I could afford most players after about a 2-3 weeks of working. Thanks for any help

I looked at ipods origionally but I wanted something that was a little tougher and doesnt scratch upon contact with air. Also the karma has an amazing eq, and sounds GREAT compared to my friends ipod. (rio karma fanboy:P)

Iaudio X5 to save you the trouble of searching. Carries over many of the cool features of the karma, i.e. gapless, flac/ogg support, 5 band eq (not as good as karma's though, doesn' have those width/octave adjustments ). also has color screen, plays movies, shows pictures, built in mic, fm radio, included case, and other stuff.

I have a Creative Zen Micro 5gb I like it and its working great for me, but this would be a downgrade from 20gb for you....

I have an iRiver H320 and I LOVE IT. With a flashed firmware, you can play videos; therefore the only thing missing is a TV tuner. It plays music, videos, has an FM tuner, records from an internal mic, and can even record from an FM transmission. Check out their new models, im not sure about the features in comparison to the older ones, but im sure you cant go wrong with them.

i have one, its awesome. has everything you could possibly want/need. (it plays music and has incredible battery life)

i charge mine once a week, and it takes about 20 minutes to charge it.

this chick in my class is just saving up for one and ffs she barely even has any music to put on it and she is buying it only because she has heard from a friend of her's in the UK that ipods are 'the thing to have'. Its painful and pathetic to see. Today she has asked my gf to go buy it for her....ah god...WOMAN...arrggg, it hurts.

sorry, I can't stand that random superficial ipod bandwagon bullcrap when there are MUCH better quality players out there for less money.

Only recently has "podcasting" surpassed Ipod cult as the most annoying thing ATM.

Well when i first posted this it was in the off topic so I didnt get a chance to read this forum.

Hmm Im getting a cable so I can check if my harddrive from the karma is still good, if so, Im getting a damaged one from ebay


also does the zen touch sound as good as a karma?
