Seeing I was bored out of my skull I decided to change a few things about my Thermaltake Soprano VX case.

It's still a work in progress but so far I've added neon lights and a paint

Sorry for the 1/2-year late reply. . If you don't know yet the PSU is an Ultra X-Finity 500W. It's obviously non-modular, good PSU though. I just wish the cables were black, lol, for better looking cable management imo.

More important than the rig(for this post anyway) is the method of taking good pics of your system. A tripod is necessary, as in order to take nice photos of your cool LED's an' stuff you'll need a long exposure. These were taken with 20-30 sec exposure times @ f/18-29 (high stops will give you good DOF too). You can enhance the lighting during your exposure by using hand held flashlights and LED devices to literally paint in where you may want a bit of a highlight.

In the first pic the LAN activity light casts a nice glow on the wall behind the case. Only a long exposure will show that to you. Also, if you have cold cathode's make sure they are not visible. The UV will show up as a super hot spot in the final image. There are two in this case, but they are hidden so the camera can't see them.

In the last image, the shutter was released BEFORE the system was turned on. Taking the exposure during post allows ALL of the boards LED's to activate, giving that nice stop light effect for the voltage LED's.

There's no end to what you can do to take cool pics of your system. You built it so show it off. These were taken on a D80 w/ 18-70ED.
