A little out-dated, but the only thing that has changed is my door is open for a vast majority of the time I'm in the room now since it's nice outside.

Don't complain about one of the CC inverters, it doesn't bother me.

what exactly is it that you are calling out dated the specs of your rig seem spot on and the setup as a whole looks good, unless you just ment that the pics are old. i myself run multiple monitors and for one i wish all 4 of them match like yours do. and i wish my desk was bigger i have kids so my rig has to set on my desk with my monitors so i have to put my displays on different levels one above the other. and it really makes for a pain in the neck.

Additional Comment:

not a bad setup even im you stick with amd might be time for a cpu upgrade and a psu upgrade for that graphics, depends what you do with your machine though.

Actually the system is built that way intentionally. I wanted an energy efficient puter for the room that could OC pretty well. Fold, crunch and video edit. I don't game much on the PC anymore (PS3).

Here is the setup:

I use it for video surveillance, music, HEPC

Hi - Stumbled across this thread and thought I'd post my build. Not as esoteric as many I've seen, but it's my first.

Hey "Witchdoctor", thanks for showing me your build. Now I have to choose between killing myself, or throwing my toy in the garbage and starting over.

Thanks for tryin' to make me feel better, ha! You have some of the finest gear I've seen. My next build will be liquid cooled, but frankly, the hardware for cooling on air has gotten so good that water doesn't present the marked improvement it used to.
Right now I'm sittin' here waiting for 3 sticks of Corsair Dominator DDR3. I have 3x1GB sticks of 1866 in the machine now, but I plan on installing Win7 64bit and 3GB just doesn't cut it. So I ordered 3 more sticks of the identical ram. I don't expect any issues other than the fact that I'm expecting that with all Dimm slots loaded the memory will not run as fast, but that's ok.

Hi again....The 3 sticks of TR3X3G1866C9DF goodness arrived today. Expecting the delivery today, I re-set my BIOS to system defaults yesterday in anticipation of the installation today. I have attached a screenshot for you to see my results. I just popped in the three sticks, the system booted fine & posted 6144MB. CPU-Z, Windows System, Belarc Advisor, Sisoft Sandra, all reported 6GB. I then went into the BIOS and re-set my Bclk to 200 and the multi to 19, Vcore to 1.31250, QPI to 1.31875 and DRAM to 1.64v. These were the exact BIOS settings I was using with the 3 sticks before. The system booted fine and I'm running at the same 1603MHz I was before. I can still increase the multi and Bclk to reach 4.0GHz as before and I can still run the DDR3 at 1866MHz as before but the QPI voltage required is higher than I am comfortable with, so a max. of 1603MHz is fine with me.

What I'm trying to say here is that after loading up all the DIMM slots, and mixing the older DDR3 with the newer sticks, everything is working exactly the same as it was before except that I now have 6GB instead of 3GB. Oh yes, there was one change. With the 3 sticks my timing was 9,9,9,24 1T. Now, with the 6 sticks my timing is 9,9,9,24 2T. The drop in the Command Rate is of no real importance to me. According to the "RAM GUY" at Corsair I must have a very good Memory Controller in this 920 because he says that a "loaded" set of Dimm slots usually means considerably lower memory speed unless the Controller is very good. So, that made me smile.
So there ya go, no problems or issues of any kind. Good stuff this Corsair Dominator! Thanks again for all your responses....David
