EOC Folding Sig Images (Now In Beta)!

Alright guys, after futzing with the image code some more today I think I've come up with a decent first start.

I got all the images people posted in the other thread, and I'll be adding them in as choices as soon as I can. Obviously because of size differences not all the same info will be available on each size.

Here's an example of how to use the sig images (using HotRod as a guinea pig):

First - You can use the UserID from the EOC Stats:
- http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?u=32359

Second - You can use your User Name + Team ID
- http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?un=HotRod&t=11314

If you get it working correctly, you should have something that looks like this:

Extra Options
You can now change various colors by using standard hex codes. Simply append them to the URL string. You don't have to use all of them, they will default to the stock colors if omitted.

c1 = Default Text Color
c2 = Background Body Color
c3 = Background Header Color
c4 = Border Color
c5 = Override Text Rank Colors

ex: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?u=32359&c1=FFFFFF&c2=000000&c3=000000 &c4=0000CC&c5=FFFFFF

Would end up looking like this:

Note: If you define a 'c5' color, you loose the auto-color rankings for the individual / team. I added it because some people might want a color scheme that conflicts with one or more of the colors used in the scale.

You can choose alternate backgrounds by adding a bg=# in the URL string (where # is a number between 0 & 2 currently).

0 = Default (Technically you don't need to add it if you want the default bg.)
1 = User Stats Only (Essentially half the default image)
2 = First custom bg image

ex: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/sigs/sigimage.php?u=32359&bg=1

Because of the background image color scheme, fixed text colors were required to make it readable.

Other Info:

The data actually changes *slightly*, if your team rank goes up/down within the past 7 days, it will display that info (with the up/down arrow) instead of Work Units. Also the User / Team color corresponds to the stats colors.

The code does cache the images to files, and clears out the cache after each stats update. Also I put header info for last-updated & expires to help with image caching there too. Not sure how well the headers will work out, worst-case I can remove them.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS BETA TESTING - Meaning the code can be changed / removed at any time. So please ONLY use it on this forum for the time being until it can be deemed "stable". Also please subscribe to this thread any pay attention to any changes made. (I'll try to always post updates in this first post.)

Please post your comments, and more importantly, and bugs you may encounter.

Well, For just a hair-taller image than the original, I was able to fit a 3rd row of data.

Also, some things have to be spaced out in order to fit properly for everyone (i.e. the high-producers).

Also, a lot of the images that were submitted were 200x100 I believe.

I should hopefully have several size choices available in the next couple days.

I'm not saying the spacing is to much or anything like that.
I guess I still favor the feel and size of [H]stats.

I have never seen those little images before, nor do I know what they represent (and I don't think anyone else who wasn't on the HOCP folding team would know either).

Its has text around it that shows the basics of my score, rank, team, and progress. They are white however since www.hardforums.com uses a black background.
They also come with a link by default that goes to the user's personal page at www.hardfolding.com which explains that the different colors mean different point levels.
[H] has been using them for several years now.

People with slower connections, can you tell if the images are being cached properly by your web browser?

Also, I was thinking of making some "lazy man's vB code", so you could just do a tag like [FAH=1]YourUserName[/FAH] or similar so that vB can parse it in your sig and have it display one of the sig styles & wrap the link to the user summary page and all that.
