big desicion

O.K. i have a laptop and it is a gateway solo 2500 10 gig hard drive 466mhz celeron processer 160 mb of ram and it will not play mp3's proporly gateway says that it is a problem with neomagic drivers and there is no way of fixing it because they skip all the time. My question is should i still pay for this laptop cause it doesnt play mp3's right (i was going to use it for DJing) or should i take it back to the person i got it from (my friend) he built it himself off of parts of ebay and it dont have a warrenty. He also has a compaq laptop but it only has a 6gig and i dont prefeer compaqs cause they suck and because of compaqsucks.com

Don't get those laptops made by arse-backwards gateway. Buy a refurbished HP laptop! I love HP laptops, **** things are so slick looking (I have 2! Although, one was made in 1984, the other in 1994, I'll get another one in 2004 I think ). But seriously, if you have the money, buy an HP, my brother has a pavilion notebook, it is a celeron 800, it has very clear sound and a very crisp screen, it's a kick-*** notebook, I want one myself! (The integrated video is kind of the ****s, but it does play q3 pretty well I guess)

You can buy a new soundcard for the laptop, you should probably get a new one, anyway, because of the needed audio quality of a DJ.
