I was actually going to recommend you get an x850 pro. The chances of getting one that you can flash are high right now. Anyway, I got mine at bestbuy for $250, went home, 10 mins later, I had a fully working x850xt PE

The x850pro is like 70% chance of flash to x850xt pe. I can't prove this, but from how many people I have seen flash this, I would say the % of people that can't get this to be an x850xt pe are slim. I got one and flashed it.

I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND AN AFTERMARKET COOLER!!!
Ati silencer rev. 2 or something that works as well as that. What you really need to cool is the memory on the card. They will be overclocked from 500mhz to 590mmhz. That is the main thing you need to worry about. Double check your vram so that the last 2 digits on your vram are 16. This will mean that you have 1.6ns vram

If this works out, post that it has and I will give you a site for a guide of how to mod it. It even has the bios for everything that you would need for this mod. Also it has bios for if you want 16 pipes open but keep the stock speed.

How to mod - This is the one I used

ATI silencer 5 Rev.2 is what you need. It cools the ram on the front and back. You can buy one here for $33:
Ati Silencer 5 rev.2

You're all set
Get the card and get your flash on, I'll be waiting

Did you turn AA and AF off? Did you set your options to PERFORMANCE and not quality? That will net you a couple thousand more. I broke 12k with my unmodded (but very o/c) X800pro. You should be around that...
